Maria Davis

Maria is a massive problem solver, wants to know how to make things more efficient, and loves finding typos. That’s why she’s one of our favorite resident proofreaders! As a jack of all trades at work and at home (she recently installed a backyard zipline for her kiddos!), she’s an incredible asset to our team.

She and her husband met as 12-year-olds and eventually became a military family. They’ve explored much of the country, but are now growing roots in Southern Pines, NC. Alongside their kids, they love exploring and hiking, riding roller coasters, and playing on beaches.

When Maria isn’t busy parenting, she enjoys teaching art (both to kids and adults) and coaching 6-year-old soccer. Her other hobbies include reading, painting, quilting, gardening, and, yes, amazing home improvement projects. She also specializes in finding the silver linings, joy in each moment, and lost things.

Maria’s Biggest Parenting Fail/Win: “My first day home alone with a newborn and a freshly potty-trained 3-year-old, I’m trapped on the couch by the sleeping time-bomb when the emergency need to potty is declared. Only, she’s in overalls and can’t undo the buckles, and I can’t get to her to help in time. Then all three of us weren’t happy. So began my journey to making my household functional for littles and teaching kids to be capable, confident, and independent.”
